Hays is working with a large distribution business looking for a Customer Services Coordinator on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy, friendly office environment.
Your role
* Provide quotations for clients.
* Liaise with customers to resolve challenges within agreed SLAs.
* Build and arrange consignments.
* Maintain effective communication internally and externally.
* Provide performance KPIs as per customer requirements.
* Respond to and address invoice queries promptly.
* Track and trace all customer consignments to completion, liaising with European Partners/National Team.
* Report failures and handle complaints.
* Respond to customer concerns and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
* Understand customs requirements for both import and export shipments, seeking support from internal departments to ensure compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
* 5 GCSEs or equivalent grades A–C, including Maths & English.
* At least 12 months of experience working in a road freight environment.
* Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
* Good knowledge of geographical areas within the UK.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to work effectively on your own initiative.
