Role Overview
Personal Assistant Required to support a sociable, 17‑year‑old young man with Down’s syndrome living in the Milngavie area.
He is excited to find a peer who shares interests in sport (particularly football and golf), gaming, music and has a good sense of humour.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide social support and help him engage in his local community.
* Typical shift activities include golfing at a local course, going to the gym, trampolining, swimming, playing pool or visiting the cinema.
Desired Profile
* Patient, upbeat, active and positive.
* Enthusiastically engages in sporting activities the individual enjoys.
* A male applicant is preferred due to the nature of the role.
* Driver preferred but not essential.
Compensation and Hours
Rate: £14 per hour, paid on a 4‑weekly basis.
Hours: 6 hours per week, split between two shifts on weekday evenings and weekends. Specific days and times will be discussed at interview.
Other
PVG Scheme membership or update required by successful applicant; the employer will cover the cost.
