Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a thorough understanding of legal terminology and procedures. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to our legal professionals, ensuring that all documentation is prepared accurately and efficiently.
Duties
* Provide administrative support to lawyers by managing schedules, appointments, and correspondence.
* Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents including briefs, contracts, and reports using Microsoft Word.
* Post completion of SDLT returns and Land Registry application (with support)
* Conduct audio typing of dictations and transcribe legal documents with precision.
* Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up to date and easily accessible.
* Manage communication with clients and other legal entities through Microsoft Outlook.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while demonstrating excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
Experience
* Proven administrative experience within a legal environment is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential.
* Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
* Good IT skills to navigate various software applications efficiently.
