Quality Engineer / Lead Auditor – Midlands
£45 per hour (outside IR35) + mileage + overnight accommodation + food allowance + extensive & interesting client portfolio + long-term contract work.
This would suit a contract Quality Engineer / Lead Auditor who has other clients and is looking to add to their portfolio.
Quality Engineer / Lead Auditor responsibilities include:
* Act as a Quality Engineer / Lead Auditor, visiting various Nuclear supply chain sites across the UK as required.
* Responsible for undertaking quality Inspections / audit activities for a range of projects.
* Conduct pre audit visits and gap analysis of fabricators around the UK who are looking to attain or requalify for ISO 9001
* Prepare audit plan; write reports; perform follow-up; provide certification recommendations.
* Ensure audit reports, finding evidence and auditor notes are submitted.
* Ensure client non-conformities are closed, review and analyse client responses.
* Provide answers to any requests arising during the technical review of files.
* Ensure all quality and client records related to audit and certification activities are maintained and up to date.
Quality Engineer / Lead Auditor profile:
* Relevant Engineering qualification.
* CSWIP 3.1/3.2
* Previous or valid PCNs - combination of Radiographic, DPI, MPI and UT.
* IRCA Auditor (International Register of Certificated Auditors).
* Must have current & valid ISO 9001 External Auditing qualification
* 3yrs Lead Audit experience, ideally at least 1yrs' external Lead Audit background.
* Auditing experience within the Nuclear Supply Chain / Fabrication / Oil & Gas or similar environments.
* Good knowledge of Quality Management systems.
* Experience assisting & organising audit teams beneficial.
* Client / stakeholder management experience.
* Confident communication & presentation skills.
