Overall Purpose of the Role
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and delivering the Chartwells Universities & Colleges Proposition, focusing on driving profitable revenue growth through participation and MAP2 growth, supporting sales and retention pipelines.
This will be achieved through creating measurable activation plans that increase sales, ATV, and profit, focusing on key categories like lunch, hot beverages, and food to go, by boosting meal participation, spend, and frequency via apps, kiosks, and tills.
The role involves engaging with stakeholders, ensuring activity is maximized, and aligned with market and internal insights, as well as internal protocols and objectives.

* Developing annual marketing plans collaboratively with stakeholders
* Creating engaging promotional materials with third-party agencies and in-house tools
* Managing outsourced creative work
* Preparing operational briefs for new offers and campaigns
* Building marketing asset templates via Canva for digital and print
* Managing the marketing budget and securing sponsorships
* Approving promotional business cases for MAP2 activities
Food Development
* Determining the Annual Food Development Plan based on consumer insights in collaboration with the Exec Development Chef
Insight
* Gathering marketplace, consumer, and operator insights to inform marketing and food offerings
* Creating and promoting annual surveys to gather consumer insights
* Developing reports and site-level data analysis
Brand Standards
* Maintaining brand standards across all Chartwells brands
* Ensuring consistency in templates and visual designs
* Approving outlet visuals and branded materials
* Supporting SOP development for customer spaces and merchandising
* Updating content on digital platforms like Real Life Tech, Uni Food Hub, and Time2Eat app
Student Engagement & Community Marketing
* Supporting team training and campaign implementation
* Managing stakeholder communications and content creation
* Organizing photoshoots and supporting sales presentations
