About the role
Our Catering Assistants in our John Lewis shops work either in customer restaurants or behind-the-scenes in Partner (employee) dining rooms. You will provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive catering experience through food preparation and presentation standards. Responsibilities include stock replenishment and storage of deliveries. Benefits include free food on working days, with no split shifts or late evenings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work as a team to ensure smooth catering service.
2. Provide positive customer and Partner interactions with a friendly and welcoming attitude, representing the John Lewis brand.
3. Follow health and safety procedures and food safety regulations.
4. Ensure stock is replenished and available for customers.
5. Minimize food wastage through careful stock rotation.
6. Resolve operational issues promptly and use initiative.
7. Maintain high personal hygiene standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Flexibility to work across the Catering team and ensure smooth operations.
* Passion for food.
* Attention to detail and high standards in food prep, hygiene, and cleanliness.
