UKFS Consulting Service Delivery - Conduct Risk Executive
Market-leading growth in our Consulting Service Delivery team has created opportunities for new people to join the team, working in our Newcastle office. CSD is about going beyond advice, we specialize in operational delivery, which means we specialize in implementing solutions on behalf of clients, across a number of different solution areas. The Opportunity
The Consulting Service Delivery team is one of EY’s fastest-growing areas, based in a modern office in Newcastle city centre. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conduct Risk specialist to join our Newcastle team. In this role, you will apply your experience and specialist knowledge to help clients meet their regulatory obligations around a variety of Conduct matters, such as suitability reviews, outcome testing, complaint handling, and regulatory mapping. Your Key Responsibilities
As a Conduct Risk Executive in our Consulting Service Delivery team, you will work with global EY teams to deliver high-quality work to our clients, who will primarily be from the financial sector. You will help our clients gain confidence by using your technical knowledge of compliance matters. You will work with the leadership team to speak directly with clients to provide them with advice and recommendations. You will support management in leading teams working on Conduct Risk engagements.
Client Responsibilities:
1. Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress
2. Assist with the mobilisation of project teams and design of the processes to be followed
3. Support engagement management activities such as finance tracking, billing, and resource management
4. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel while building strong internal relationships within Consulting and across other services
5. Support bids and proposals for new projects and client opportunities
6. Assist in preparing reports and outputs that will be delivered to clients and other parties
7. Adhering to, and managing, productivity and quality expectations
People Responsibilities:
8. Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff
9. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff
10. Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
11. Contribute to people initiatives including training and mentoring new joiners
12. Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
13. Support the development of junior colleagues
14. Act as a workplace coach to junior staff

To qualify for the role, you must:
20. Have experience working in a similar role
21. Have relevant regulatory experience relating to financial services regulation compliance and/or enforcement. This may be from working with a regulator, a financial services organisation, or a dynamic new market entrant
22. Have knowledge of jurisdictional key regulations/handbooks
23. Have direct experience in Financial Services
24. Have strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
25. Be eligible to work in the UK
26. Support EY’s connected working approach, with presence in the Newcastle office dictated by Business or Client demands
Ideally, you’ll also have:
27. Experience of coaching or mentoring junior team members
28. A commitment to ongoing professional development and training in relevant areas
29. Project management experience
