About the Role
We are looking for compassionate and motivated Independent Living Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to adults with physical and/or learning disabilities within an Independent Supported Living environment.
You will play a key role in enabling individuals to live as independently as possible, promoting dignity, choice, and inclusion while supporting people to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and managing their home.
Provide personal care in line with care plans, including personal hygiene, bathing, and safe moving and handling.
Encourage and enable participation in social and community activities.
Support individuals to set goals, build independence, and achieve positive outcomes.
Promote dignity, respect, choice, and control at all times.
Administer medication safely in line with training and procedures.
Maintain accurate daily records using digital care systems.
Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
Escort individuals to appointments and activities (including driving service vehicles where applicable).
Monitor risks, follow risk assessments, and promote positive risk-taking.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and report concerns promptly.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and infection control.
Support less experienced team members where required.

Confident working with families and professionals
Essential Requirements
Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
Flexibility to work a 24-hour shift pattern, including days, evenings, weekends, and nights
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in health and social care, particularly supporting adults with disabilities
Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and care practices
Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support
Care Certificate or Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification
Training in moving and handling
Experience within supported living or small residential settings
