Summary
We are seeking a Design Manager to join our dynamic team in Bellshill and travel throughout sites around the UK. This pivotal role will contribute to our mission of creating innovative and sustainable real estate solutions. The Design Manager will oversee design processes and ensure alignment with our core values of sustainability and excellence.
Working Hours: Mon-Fri (8am-5pm), 40 Hours, 1-hour unpaid lunch each day
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating the design process, managing technical drawings, and ensuring design compliance throughout each project lifecycle. This is a hands-on role requiring strong project management skills, technical expertise, and proficiency in CAD.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the design process from concept through to completion.
* Manage the production, review, and approval of design drawings and technical documentation.
* Oversee design programmes, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met.
* Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve design and technical queries.
* Ensure designs comply with statutory regulations, planning requirements, and client specifications.
* Maintain accurate design records and documentation to support project delivery.
* Drive continuous improvement in design quality, efficiency, and value engineering.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a Design Manager or similar role within construction or property development.
* Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Good knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and construction processes.
* Ability to solve problems proactively and deliver high-quality design solutions under pressure.
