Job Description
The HSW Lead plays a key role in supporting the practical delivery of the Alliances Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy across Strategic Pipeline Alliance. Working closely with project and delivery teams, the role focuses on embedding safe working practices, promoting wellbeing and behavioural safety, and ensuring consistent application of HSW procedures on site. Through regular site engagement, coaching, and visible leadership, the HSW Lead helps build competence, supports compliance, and ensures a positive safety culture. The role also contributes to assurance activities, incident management, and collaborative engagement with supply chain partners, acting as a day-to-day link between operational teams and the wider HSW function. The HSW Lead, oversees and manages a small team of HSW Advisors.
High Level Summary of Duties:
1. Embed the SPA HSW Strategyaligned to AWS Safer Every Day & Capital Delivery Strategy.
2. Manage the HSW advisory teamto deliver the SPA HSW Strategy.
3. Co-ordinate HSW advisorsin the effective deployment of project assurance/engagement activities to align to operational need, support implementation of standards, and allow team integration.
