Prospero Teaching is looking for a English teacher for an Ofsted Good Secondary school in Bury. You will be responsible for teaching Geography, both to KS3 and KS4. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking. There are three Year 7 Religious Education lessons on this timetable too.
The school is a mainstream Secondary School with a supportive cover team and teaching staff. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, M62, M66), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or West Yorkshire. Our school recently underwent a thorough and extensive renovation programme and now boasts some of the best facilities in the local authority.
Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro-active “on call” team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters. All teachers have a Form and this position comes with a lovely Year 8 form.
The position is open to NQT’s/ECT’s and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.

UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

– Hold Right to Work in the UK
– Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
