Clinical Educator Midwives
An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 6 midwives to join the Maternity Education Team.
This well-established team facilitates a variety of training for maternity staff, including:
* PROMPT (obstetric emergency skills)
* Electronic fetal monitoring and human factors training
* Enhanced Maternity Care
* Mandatory annual training for midwives
* Weekly CTG learning MDT meetings
The team also provides ad hoc, small group, and one-to-one training on various topics, supporting mandatory updates and staff development.
These roles offer extensive training and development opportunities, including external courses such as NLS train the trainer, Advanced CTG Masterclass, NIPE modules, etc. The team manages training records, reviews training needs, and develops innovative ideas to enhance training access and staff wellbeing.
The post involves working across the Trust to meet training needs for all staff groups.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
* Support the delivery of the Training Needs Analysis in Maternity Services
* Collaborate with the Professional Development Midwife, Consultant Midwife, Maternity Matrons, and Department Managers to meet staff training and compliance needs
* Assist in delivering ongoing education, in-service training, and professional development aligned with national standards
* Promote a positive learning environment supporting woman-centered, evidence-based care, autonomous midwifery practice, and normality

* SSSA or equivalent
* Evidence of continuing professional development

* 2 years band 6 experience
* Practice Supervisor and Assessor (SSSA)

* Experience delivering education programs
Skills (Essential):
* Ability to motivate staff and encourage learning

* Prioritise workload and meet deadlines
