Our Health in Justice service line is expanding into non-Custodial healthcare, delivering a person-centred approach via a solid infrastructure to assess individuals' mental health and neurodiversity needs, redirecting them to the most appropriate channels.
Position: Liaison and Diversion Practitioner
Join our team in South Yorkshire, working predominantly in Doncaster Police Station and Court, with some regional travel. A driving licence is required.
Hours: Shifts covering Monday to Sunday. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £42,094 to £47,466 depending on experience.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK; employment offers are subject to vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities:
* Work autonomously in court and police detention cells to screen and assess individuals with health needs in contact with the criminal justice system.
* Use validated tools to assess health needs and inform decision-making, creating individualized care plans for diversion within/outside the criminal justice pathway.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Registered Mental Nurse, Mental Health Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with current registration.
* Evidence of continuous professional development and relevant training.
* Experience in psychosocial interventions and substance misuse awareness.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to gain consent.
* Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and standards.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice, NICE guidelines, pharmacology, and relevant legislation.
