What you’ll be doing:
* Lead a small team of food managers to oversee the grocery shop floor in one of our supermarkets.
* Coordinate exciting trading events by collaborating with the store leadership team, especially during peak seasons like Christmas or Easter, to ensure success.
* Take full accountability for the store in the absence of the store manager, role model high standards, and coach for efficiency across the food hall.
* Ensure compliance with processes and safety regulations while maintaining passion and flair for excellent shopkeeping and creating fantastic shopping experiences.
* Manage a large team of colleagues, ensuring they perform at their best, are present on the shop floor when needed, and handle all people matters appropriately, from celebrating successes to managing difficult situations.
