A progressive mental health service near Leicester is looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join its clinical team. This role offers the opportunity to take overall clinical responsibility for a defined caseload while working within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Role Overview
* Take overall clinical responsibility for a defined caseload of service users
* Lead specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based intervention for individuals with complex mental health needs
* Provide expert consultation and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, nurses, and social care professionals
* Participate in clinical reviews, case discussions, and service-development activities
* £60,000 per year (pro-rata / portfolio-style, depending on hours)
Requirements
* GMC registration with a licence to practise
* CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant area of Psychiatry
* Experience working with individuals with complex and enduring mental health difficulties
* Strong skills in psychological formulation and evidence-based interventions
* Excellent communication, leadership, and MDT working skills
