Role & Company Overview Our client, a UK enterprise software company providing AI-driven automation that help organisations improve customer service and streamline digital processes, is recruiting for an QA Engineer to join the team. The QA Engineer plays a critical part in safeguarding the reliability, usability, and overall user experience of the products. Key Responsibilities Develops, reviews, and executes comprehensive test plans, scripts, and cases based on project requirements and specifications. Performs exploratory, unit, UI, regression, and release testing; conducts cross-browser and mobile device testing to ensure consistency across platforms. Logs, tracks, and reports defects using standard issue management systems, and collaborates with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Works closely with developers, UX designers, and project managers to review requirements, share testing insights, and validate fixes. Applies usability testing techniques and basic accessibility tests to confirm that products adhere to WCAG guidelines and provide a superior user experience. Requirements Experience in executing various testing types—including exploratory, regression, UI, and release testing—using manual and automated methods. Skills in planning, designing, and executing testing activities with risk-based prioritisation. Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, scripts, and cases, and managing defect tracking and resolution. Strong analytical skills to interpret specifications and construct challenging test cases. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 1 day a month from their offices in Bedford.
