As a Strip, Fitter and Polisher you’ll ensure every conversion meets the highest standards. This is ideal for experienced Bodyshop technicians with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Based at a Bodyshop in Bidford-on-Avon, you’ll play a vital role in transforming vehicles from start to finish, ensuring every campervan meets exceptional standards of finish, fit, and polish.
What You’ll Do
* Stripping and disassembly: Safely removing parts, components, and accessories, following strict safety and quality guidelines.
* Inspection and reporting: Identifying damaged or worn parts during the strip process and reporting findings to management.
* Preparation and refitting: Cleaning, preparing, and reassembling vehicle components with precision to ensure functionality and fit.
* Polishing: Delivering showroom-quality finishes, including polishing recently painted surfaces (experience advantageous).
* Quality control: Performing thorough checks to guarantee work meets exacting safety and quality standards.
* Maintaining standards: Keeping your workspace safe, clean, and organised at all times.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years experience in a Bodyshop, smart repair, or similar environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and tools.
* Proven skills in polishing vehicles to a high standard, free of defects.
* A meticulous eye for detail with a commitment to flawless results.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt under pressure.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* A positive, can-do attitude with great time management.
* A full UK driving licence (essential).
Hours and Pay
* Permanent, full-time
* Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Salary: GBP 38,000 – GBP 42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
* Holiday entitlement: 30 days inclusive of bank holidays
