Dock Security – LGW
Ever wondered how airline meals make it on board? Now’s your chance to be part of it! Join our fast‑paced, seasonal team and help prepare and supply meals and equipment for flights departing daily. Join our team as Dock Security and be at the heart of keeping flights running securely and smoothly! You’ll help ensure catering is dispatched from the loading dock onto our vehicles securely, check incoming trucks, and ensure every item is loaded and sealed according to CAA regulations. You’ll also play a vital role in supporting our loading teams in any dock downtime by forming part of the loading team airside or assisting with non‑LGV transport requirements.
Pay Rate
£14.57 per hour – Permanent Contract / Fixed Term Contract / Full and Part time.
What You’ll Do
* Carry out all dock security functions as per training provided and CAA regulations.
* Ensure that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage and that they are loaded/unloaded according to the schedule.
* Check that all items are present, correctly packed, and organised for efficient loading.
* Inspect catering carts and equipment for cleanliness, completeness, and compliance with safety standards.
* Report any discrepancies, damaged items, or safety concerns to the Operations Manager/Operations Supervisor immediately.
* Help organise and maintain the dock and storage areas, ensuring they are clean, orderly, and free of hazards.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food items and the use of protective equipment.
* Coordinate with drivers, loaders, and other team members to ensure that all security protocols are followed to maintain catering deliveries being completed on time.
* Communicate any issues or delays promptly to the Supervisor.
* Assist in maintaining accurate records of documentation as required by the Supervisor.
* Ensure that all paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and on time.

* Have a clean full driving licence.
* You must also maintain a clean and safe workstation, working in a manner that promotes good health and safety practices.
* You should also be willing to undertake manual handling, including bending, pushing and reaching.

Shift Patterns
* Day shifts (8‑12 hours).
* Night shift (8‑12 hours).
* Part‑time shifts (4‑5 hrs a day).
