We are looking for an experienced UK Health & Safety Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of health and safety within our Group. The main activities centre around two UK manufacturing and distribution centre sites and Head Offices based in the UK. This role will be based in Stoke on Trent with frequent travel to the Lake District.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. You will also play a key role in promoting a positive health and safety culture and providing training and guidance to the management team and our UK colleagues.
Key Responsibilities include:
Developing and Implementing Health and Safety Management Systems
Conducting Risk Assessments
Investigating Incidents and Near Misses
Ensuring Compliance with Legislation and Standards
Claims management
Promoting a Positive Health and Safety Culture
Providing Training and Guidance
Monitoring and Reporting on Health and Safety Performance by tracking key KPIs and conducting and reviewing audits
Managing Contractors and Suppliers
Managing Emergency Procedures
Producing Board reports and updates to the Leadership team
Acting as the H&S Lead for all ethical/social audits
Providing Expert Advice
You will be supported by on-site H&S Managers who will report directly into you.
