V7 are working with a highly reputable client within the water industry, who due to significant growth are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. On offer is a salary of £60,000-£70,000 plus benefits. Key duties: Project lifecycle management – Oversee mechanical projects from initial design and tendering through to commissioning and final client handover. Initial project feasibility, survey, project scoping, estimation, design. Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets, and communicate these plans to stakeholders. Planning and purchasing materials / sub-contractors as required. Planning resource availability, and skills requirements liaising with internal staff to secure multi-disciplined internal labour. Budget and commercial control – Develop detailed project budgets, monitor costs in real-time using company reporting systems, and handle variations or change orders to maintain budgeted profitability. Monitoring project budgets and assisting with data for commercial invoices. Safety and compliance – Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and the current client standards.
