Driver and Branch Sales Assistant - Flexible hours
Come and join us as a Branch Sales Assistant and Driver on a flexible hours basis to help us grow, deliver sales and exceed customer expectations.
The Role
As a Driver and Branch Sales Assistant, you will be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, being professional, driven and enthusiastic. The role reports into the branch management team and will provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers, delivering products within strict deadlines. You will be customer facing within the branch, serving on the trade counter and handling telephone enquiries, ensuring best service and maximizing sales opportunities.
You will be contracted to a set minimum number of hours per week, with flexibility required to work additional hours during peak trading winter heating season. An appropriate driving licence and previous driving experience are required.
Key Responsibilities
* Health and safety of yourself and your vehicle
* Maintenance and condition of your vehicle
* Report any issues or incidents to your line manager
* Comply with transport compliance law and regulations
* Support the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager with achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimum margins.
* Ensure we maintain high standards, create and maintain a loyal customer base and provide a first‑class service.
* Assist with general duties within the branch such as serving customers on the trade counter, telesales, and ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained on the trade counter and in warehousing.
You
Along with a clean driving licence, you will ideally have previous driving experience and knowledge of the products associated with our industry would be an advantage. You’ll be flexible with working hours, and your approach to delivering customer and business needs will help you thrive on providing the best customer service and be a huge support to your branch colleagues.
