A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Supplies Assistant to join Nuffield Health, which is the UK's largest health care charity with 37 award -winning hospitals, 114 fitness and well -being clubs, health care clinics and over 200 workplace well -being services. We exist to build a healthier nation by providing outstanding day -to -day services in our hospitals and we have an excellent reputation for clinical care, expertise, and efficient friendly staff.
This role is within a busy Supplies Department which is responsible for purchasing all clinical items to provide the hospital with all relevant medical provisions.
A contractual position may be offered at the end of their apprenticeship if the candidate is successful in the role.
Requirements You will support and comply with the key principles of procurement to result in reduced costs while sustaining efficiency and effective service throughout the Hospital.
The apprentice will be trained in the below key responsibilities:
* Stock control.
* Monitoring stock accuracy.
* Work with other departments.
* How to review slow -moving obsolete stock.
* Stock takes.
A mentor will also be provided to support you and as you will work in a small department training will be given by all team members throughout your Supply Chain Operator Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard.
The ideal candidate should be able to communicate effectively and work well under pressure. IT skills and a customer service focus are critical to this role.
A driver would be preferred but not essential. You will need to be flexible about working hours.
