Lead Technical Product Owner – Event Processing Platform

We’re looking for a Lead Technical Product Owner to drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of our Event Processing Platform — the engine behind our event‑driven architecture. This is not a UI‑focused product role; it’s about interfaces, contracts, schemas, and integration patterns that keep the business moving in real time.
In this role, you will define platform strategy, set technical standards, and mentor a team of Technical Product Owners. You’ll partner closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into precise, actionable technical stories. You’ll also champion the adoption of AI across product practices, using modern tools to elevate backlog quality, delivery speed, and platform performance.

🔧 What You’ll Lead
* Platform Strategy: Own the roadmap for a high‑performance, real‑time event processing platform.
* Technical Excellence: Define standards for technical user stories, interfaces, contracts, and integration points.
* AI‑Driven Product Practice: Introduce and scale AI tools to improve refinement, prioritisation, and delivery.
* Stakeholder Partnership: Translate complex business needs into clear technical deliverables.
* Hands‑On Leadership: Influence system design, event schemas, and streaming patterns (Kafka, Azure Event Hub, etc.).
* Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of Technical Product Owners to drive consistency and excellence.
* Continuous Improvement: Define KPIs, optimise workflows, and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
🎯 What You Bring
* Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or Platform Product Manager
* Deep knowledge of event‑driven architecture and streaming technologies
* Strong understanding of APIs, contracts, and integration patterns
* Cloud expertise (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
* Ability to write clear, detailed technical stories
* Familiarity with Agile tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence)
* Awareness of AI tools for product management and delivery optimisation
Bonus points for:
* Engineering or architecture background
* Logistics or supply chain domain knowledge
* Experience with observability, CI/CD, or DevOps practices
