Care Assistant (Nights) – Ilfracombe
Rate of Pay: £12.51 per hour
Hours: 12-hour shifts (8:00pm – 8:00am)
Contract: 36 hours per week

About the Role
We are seeking two compassionate and reliable Night Care Assistants to join our close-knit team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive comfort, safety, and support throughout the night.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with toileting, washing, dressing, and mobility.
* Monitor residents throughout the night, responding promptly to their needs and ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Carry out regular checks on residents and maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Support residents with bedtime and morning routines.
* Administer or assist with medication in line with care plans and home policies (training provided if required).
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, day staff, and management to ensure continuity of care.
* Promote dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.
* Provide companionship and reassurance to residents who may feel anxious or unsettled during the night.
About You
* Kind, patient, and caring nature.
* Previous experience in a care setting (preferred, but full training can be provided).
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliable and flexible, with a genuine interest in supporting older people.
