Overview
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) role at Florette in Lichfield (WS13 8NF). The Maintenance Engineering team maintains a range of specialist machinery and equipment to support production of salads. The role is in a team of three, with a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, performing cyclical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and on-site repairs. The candidate will be electrically biased or strongly multi-skilled across electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. Experience in refrigeration, chlorine, or compressed air is advantageous, along with an understanding of food safety.
Responsibilities
* Day to day upkeep of Production Equipment and Machinery.
* Site-wide Preventative Maintenance.
* Reacting to breakdowns quickly to reduce downtime.
* Equipment repair, technical repair, and factory start up and testing.
* Accurate and timely completion of necessary documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
* Recognised qualification in an engineering discipline or an apprenticeship in engineering, ideally NVQ Level 3 or similar.
* Experience repairing and maintaining machinery in a controlled manufacturing environment.
* Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with strong knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
* Experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
* Strong diagnostic fault-finding capability.
* Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
* Proactive Health and Safety mindset with excellent attention to detail.
Pay and Working Pattern
Salary: £51,000 per annum.
Working pattern: Panama Shift – 12 hour shifts (7am-7pm & 7pm-7am) on a rotating days and nights schedule; 4On/5Off, 5On/5Off, 4On/4Off.
