Teaching Assistant – Year 6 St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our experienced Year 6 team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils academically and pastorally, helping them to thrive both in their learning and personal development within a nurturing, faith-led school community. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted academic support to Year 6 pupils, helping them prepare confidently for their Key Stage Two SATs. Offer pastoral care to ensure pupils' wellbeing and emotional development. Work closely and be supported by an experienced Year 6 teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences. Support the inclusion and progress of all pupils within the classroom environment. Required Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally within Year 6. Ability to support pupils both academically and pastorally. Commitment to working collaboratively within a professional team. Desirable Qualities: A warm, patient, and approachable manner. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and encourage pupils. A commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos of the school and fostering a positive learning environment.
