The Role
As an Architectural Assistant at EMI Consulting, you’ll support our architectural and engineering teams across all project stages—from early concept development to construction drawings. You'll contribute to the successful delivery of residential and commercial projects, helping to bridge creative design with technical precision.
You will:
✅ Design & Drawing Support
• Assist with concept designs, planning drawings, and feasibility studies.
• Produce clear and detailed technical drawings for planning, building control, and construction stages.
• Help prepare 3D visuals, diagrams, and presentation material as needed.
✅ Project Coordination & Technical Input
• Support the production of coordinated drawing sets in collaboration with structural engineers.
• Research planning policies, building regulations, and material specifications.
• Help maintain organised drawing files and project documentation.
✅ Collaboration & Workflow
• Participate in project meetings and design reviews.
• Contribute to internal design discussions and workflow improvements.
• Stay up to date with architectural best practices and software tools.
About You
✔ Experience
• RIBA Part I or Part II qualification from a recognised UK architecture school.
• Previous practice experience or a placement year in a UK-based firm (preferred).
• Residential and commercial design experience is a must have.
✔ Technical Skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite is a plus.
• Strong drawing and visualisation skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of UK planning and building regulations.

Location
This is an office-based role located at our North London office, with potential for hybrid flexibility as you progress in your role.
