Job Title: Bar/Catering Assistants

The University of Chester operates licensed premises on Exton Park, offering a warm and welcoming space for students and staff. Our venues host a wide variety of events – from relaxed acoustic nights to large-scale club events featuring international artists.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Bar/Catering Assistants to join our team, providing excellent service to our campus community.
Key Duties:
* Delivering a friendly, efficient, and professional service to all customers
* Preparing and serving drinks to a high standard
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in bar, catering, and storage areas
* Communicating effectively with the Bar Manager, Catering Manager, colleagues, and customers
* Assisting with stock replenishment and bar organisation during busy periods
* Following licensing laws and standard procedures, including refusing service where appropriate
* Supporting the promotion of events via social media (occasionally)
* Assisting in training new colleagues when required
* Ensuring knowledge of drink ingredients, menus, and allergen information
* Adhering to health and safety standards, including safe lifting practices and using hearing protection in noisy environments
