JOB- Steel Erector
LOCATION- Gloucester
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is currently seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join our client's team in Gloucester. Our client specializes in steel construction and is looking to expand their workforce with a dedicated professional experienced in erecting steel structures.
The Steel Erector will ideally have the following attributes:
* Proven experience in steel erection and construction
* Relevant certification or qualification in construction or a related field (NVQ, CSCS card, etc.)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
* Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
* Proficiency with tools and equipment used in steel erection
* Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
The Steel Erector role will involve:
* Erecting steel structures, frameworks, and other components on construction sites
* Assembling and installing steel beams, columns, and girders according to specifications
* Using cranes and other lifting equipment to position steel components
* Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
* Collaborating with other team members and contractors to ensure project timelines are met
* Inspecting and maintaining equipment to ensure proper functioning
* Performing welding and bolting tasks as required
* Identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the erection process
