Your new role
Based in a beautifully renovated building with views of the Lake District, the Finance team supports both the training division and a portfolio of hospitality operations. Due to continued growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a talented Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, analysing performance against budget, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing monthly management accounts
Performing balance sheet reconciliations
Preparation of group VAT return
Providing regular functional analysis
Assisting with the year-end audit processes
Supporting budgeting and forecasting
Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls
Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with accounting policies
Monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions across the group

What you'll need to succeed
AAT qualified, working towards a relevant qualification or QBE candidates are all considered
Proven experience in a similar role
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
An aptitude for IT - knowledge of intermediate Excel and accounting systems essential
High attention to detail and organisational skills
What you'll get in return
Annual Salary up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
35 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
Full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday 9-5pm, 1 hour lunch
