Engineering @365 is working with a well-established industrial processing and manufacturing business that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a Maintenance Engineer (days) at its Leicestershire operation.
About the role:
This is a hands-on engineering position focused on maintaining and servicing fixed plant and processing equipment within a busy operational environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and fabrication work, helping to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime across site operations.
This opportunity would suit an experienced maintenance engineer with strong mechanical skills who enjoys problem-solving and working within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and routine equipment inspections
• Respond to breakdowns and complete reactive maintenance activities efficiently
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across fixed plant machinery
• Complete welding and fabrication work where required
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and reliability
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and job documentation
• Work closely with the wider engineering and operations teams to minimise downtime
• Attend internal and external training to support ongoing development
What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience within a maintenance engineering or plant maintenance environment
• Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship, must have at least a Level 3
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of safe working practices
• Welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently within targeted repair times
• Positive attitude with a proactive and flexible approach to work
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools preferred
