RTT Validation & Clerical Support Officer
Due to the expansion of our imaging service operating 7 days a week between the hours 08:00 and 20:00, we are looking for a Band 4 RTT Validation & Clerical Support Officer to join our growing Administration team in the General Imaging department at St Bartholomew's Hospital.
In this role you will be part of a busy, buoyant team. You will multitask, use your own initiative and remain flexible to complete scheduled tasks and deadlines. Essential responsibilities include validating and tracking referral‑to‑treatment processes, escalating delays or missing clinical information, flagging data‑entry errors, and monitoring key trends. You will also input and extract information from our Patient Administrative & Radiology Information Systems, CRS, Qliksense, and spreadsheets.
Key Responsibilities
* Validate and track referral-to-treatment processes in patient diagnostic pathways.
* Escalate any delays due to insufficient clinical information or pending events per DM01 guidelines.
* Identify and report data quality issues and incorrect requests against patient pathways.
* Analyze and monitor key performance trends, providing action points for improvement.
* Maintain accurate records and produce minutes or logs of meetings.
* Support the team in maintaining administrative systems and maintaining data confidentiality.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
* GCSE or A Level in English/Mathematics or equivalent.
* Significant administrative or secretarial experience, preferably managing patient record systems.
* Experience in NHS patient pathway management and interaction with staff, patients and the public.
* Familiarity with CRS, RISE/PACS, Healthroster, Oracle and health‑service information systems.
* Understanding of clinical terminology, the National RTT diagnostic pathway, and data‑protection requirements.
* Competence with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and the relevant clinical IT systems.

* Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and support process monitoring.
* Self‑directed work style, able to prioritise own workload in a busy, multidisciplinary clinical environment.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a calm, courteous approach.
* Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to take accurate minutes or records.
* Problem‑solving skills, able to identify and address issues as they arise.

* Salary: £33,094 to £36,195 per annum inclusive.
