At Wild Restaurant, we create a dining experience that tells the story of the land, the people, and the food — and we're now looking for an experienced, service-driven Chef de Rang to join our front-of-house team on a part-time basis.
Role Overview
As a part-time Chef de Rang, you will take ownership of your section of the dining room during service, delivering a polished and seamless guest experience. This is a hands-on role requiring confidence, professionalism, and strong prior experience in high-quality dining environments.
You'll work closely with the bar, kitchen, and sommelier teams to ensure each guest receives thoughtful, knowledgeable, and attentive service that reflects our farm-led ethos.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience who is looking for a flexible, part-time position while maintaining exceptional hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead your own section during service, delivering warm, attentive, and personalised hospitality
* Confidently guide guests through the menu, explaining seasonal ingredients and preparation methods
* Collaborate with the bar and sommelier teams to offer informed wine and cocktail recommendations
* Ensure smooth service flow, maintaining high standards of timing, presentation, and attention to detail
* Handle guest requests and resolve any service challenges with professionalism and care
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your section
* Support junior team members when required and uphold front-of-house standards
Essential Requirements (Previous Experience Required)
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Rang or senior waiter/waitress in a high-quality or fine dining restaurant
* Strong knowledge of food service and confidence explaining seasonal menus
* Previous experience working with wine service; understanding of wine pairing is highly desirable
* Ability to manage a busy section independently
* Excellent communication skills and a professional, polished manner
* Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment
