You will deliver outstanding teaching, help develop curriculum strategy, and play a key role in the wider college mission to support learners in achieving their goals. Main Purpose of the Role: As a member of our teaching team, you will: Deliver outstanding teaching and learning across our Medical and Life Sciences department, engaging students from Level 1 to Level 4. Support the academic and pastoral development of learners, ensuring they are ready to learn and thrive. Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, and the wider life of the College. Play an active role in fulfilling the College's mission: " To provide a transformative education that empowers learners and serves our community and employers. " Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with curriculum requirements. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress. Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to help every learner succeed. Make effective use of digital platforms (e. g. Teams, Google Classroom) and emerging tools such as AI to enhance student learning and feedback. Participate in curriculum development, open events, interviews, and student induction activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous improvement. Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health and safety policies. About You: We're looking for someone who is: Qualified to degree in relevant subject or similar An expert in their subject area, with a strong understanding of progression pathways and enrichment opportunities. Enthusiastic about teaching, with effective strategies to support learners at Levels 1-3 (and Level 4 where appropriate). Confident in using digital tools to engage learners and enhance teaching. Able to balance academic rigor with encouragement and support, motivating students to achieve their full potential. Desirable (but not essential): A recognised teaching qualification (e. g. PGCE/Cert Ed). Professional or industry experience to enrich classroom teaching. Experience in curriculum development, course leadership, or employer engagement. The right candidate will have: Ability to relate well to students and staff, balancing support and challenge to maximise achievement. Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Creative and lateral thinking skills to promote campus growth and enhance learning experiences.
