Trainee Quantity Surveyor opportunity with a nationwide construction and property consultancy.
With a high level of repeat business this firm's Birmingham office is particularly busy within hospitality and leisure sectors and provide a full Quantity Surveying and Employers Agent service to some of the biggest brands in the industry. In addition to an already busy workload with existing clients the Birmingham team has been sought out by new clients and are now looking to add a Graduate or Trainee Quantity Surveyor to their team. Their work includes both programmes of refurbishments and new build projects.
We're looking for a junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will either have already graduated with a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Construction Management, or be currently studying towards gaining your degree. We are also ideally looking for previous construction industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor. This role does involve a certain amount of autonomy from the beginning and the successful candidate will be taking on a client facing role. So strong communication skills are important, as is the ability to organise yourself well, hit deadlines and have excellent time management skills. If you're looking to gain more project experience and a full pre and post contract role this would be ideal!
This role also requires travel nationally and therefore you MUST have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle from the outset. You MUST also be currently based within commuting distance of Birmingham city centre
