Monday to Friday
£16.61 per hour
£24.42 per hour (overtime and enhanced rates)
Estimated weekly pay based on 55 hours: £1,120+
Expected annual earnings: £58,000+
HG Recruitment are recruiting Class 1 Trunking Drivers on behalf of a leading national manufacturer and logistics operation. Professional HGV C+E drivers are required to APPLY NOW for their operation based in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan (CF62 3ZR) .
This is a trunking operation moving palletised products between manufacturing and distribution sites. This is a Monday to Friday ongoing role with consistent start times and secure long-term work.

Ongoing, regular work
Duties
Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
Securing loads (strapping and curtain work required outdoors).
Completing trunking deliveries between manufacturing and distribution locations.
Trailer swaps and vehicle movements as required.
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
Providing a professional and reliable service.
Following all Working Time Directive and Driver Hours regulations.

Requirements
HGV C+E (Class 1) Licence minimum 3 months' experience.
Valid Digi Tacho Card.
Valid CPC Qualification Card.
Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements.
Good knowledge of Working Time Directive and Driver Hours regulations.
Good geographical awareness.
Confident reversing skills, including blind-side manoeuvres.
Strong communication skills and flexible attitude.
PPE Requirements
Lace-up safety boots.
Hi-Vis vest.
Safety glasses.
Hard hat with 4-point chin strap.
