Hours: 37 hours per week
Work Pattern: Early Shift Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm and Friday 6am to 1.30pm Late shift Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm and Friday 12.30pm - 8pm
The Fleet Service Section of South Lanarkshire Council is responsible for the maintenance, service and repairs of the Council’s fleet of over 1700 vehicles and items of plant.
We currently have vacancies for mechanics to join our team at our modern workshop in Hamilton International Technology Park Blantyre and Lanark workshop
The successful Candidate must be time served mechanic and have recent and relevant experience of working on a wide range of equipment from small plant, cars and vans to HGV vehicles and heavy road going Plant
A Current full Cat C licence is essential and a LGV licence is desirable although training may be provided.
You must hold a C&G part 3 or NVQ level 3 qualification in automobile repair and maintenance
You will work as part of our team servicing, maintaining, repairing and preparing vehicles forMOTs
This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to enhance their existing skills through working on a varied fleet as well as benefitting from Manufacturers product training
