As a member of the FCRM Improvements Portfolio team, you will support the Portfolio Management office and sub‑portfolio’s project and programme work delivering over £150m of improvements in the next three years. You’ll play a critical role in helping us to better inform the changes we are delivering, which in turn will enable us to deliver outcomes that protect communities and businesses from the devastating impacts of flooding.
Qualifications and Experience
* Formal project / programme management experience is essential.
* Highly numerate with good data gathering, manipulation and interpretation skills, able to deal with large datasets and multiple users. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required; experience of Power BI, Tableau or similar is desirable.
* Experience in a project support type role in a complex organisation using Agile and waterfall methodologies.
* Administrative and organisational skills, supporting regular meetings, agenda and minutes for the Portfolio governance cycles.
* Financial data management and project planning skills desirable.
* The ability to gain credibility, respect and co‑operation throughout the business by showing the appropriate collaborative behaviours.
* Experience in tackling and automating routine issues with a continuous improvement and problem‑solving mindset.
* An ability to work with uncertainty and find innovative solutions to solve problems.

There is good opportunity for blended home and office working. Our team is dispersed across the country and you can be based at one of our Environment Agency offices (subject to Facilities approval). Some travel and overnight stay will be required.
