Job summary
This is a temporary Bank Chef role at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. The role involves working with fresh seasonal produce to create nutritious and well-balanced menus for residents, while assisting the Head Chef and maintaining a warm and welcoming environment within the home.
Job responsibilities
* Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus, and tailor menus around residents’ preferences.
* Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
* Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards.
* Contribute to a warm, efficient and fun environment in the home.
* Work within budget and complete regular audits.
* Manage stock control and assist in leading and motivating a team.
* Support delivery of person-centred hospitality across services and ensure quality throughout.

Qualifications
Essential
* Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
* A good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
* Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home.
* Good understanding of HACCP.
Need to do
