Training Programme Facilitator for Physician Associates
The NHSE EoE Team is a new and vibrant team supporting the first year of Physician Associates (PA) within secondary care, responsible for supporting the delivery of the educational programme and developing the PA workforce community alongside primary care ambassadors.
We are looking for up to two enthusiastic and experienced individuals to support the national expansion and embedding of the Physician Associate Programme in the East of England.
As Training Programme Facilitators, you will provide professional expertise to the PA training and education programmes, oversee delivery of a portfolio of programmes and interventions, and work with the PA Training Programme Director on the first-year PA preceptorship in secondary care.
The role requires excellent leadership, management skills, and an understanding of education and teaching.
Main duties of the job
* Lead the planning and development of training activities and programmes.
* Support PA trainees needing educational or professional support.
* Design and implement teaching, learning, and assessment plans for trainees and their educational supervisors.
* Provide training on supervision and appraisal of PAs for supervisors.
* Ensure high-quality training and support for PAs and their Educational Supervisors.
* Manage resources, services, and opportunities for PAs and educators across healthcare professions.
* Align activities with wider NHS England strategies, especially in the East of England and ICS/STP(s).
* Implement recommendations from the LENG review related to training, supervision, and appraisal.
* Support careers development and return to practice initiatives.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Primary clinical healthcare qualification
* Membership/Fellowship of a Royal College, Faculty, or professional body
* Participation in educational development courses (e.g., educator courses)
* Postgraduate qualification in Medical Education (e.g., Certificate, Diploma, or Masters)
Experience
* Experience working with learners or doctors in training
* Leadership and innovation in clinical and educational settings, managing multi-professional teams
* Knowledge of EDI strategies, NHS organizations, and regulatory bodies
* Previous leadership roles in healthcare education
* Understanding of current health, social care, and education policies
