The Engineering Intern is assisting the development of Technical Documentation (2D and 3D Design, Calculation, Bill Of Materials, Specification, Design Review, etc.) in the scope of Framatome Limited. The role is based in the Design Office in Avonmouth, United Kingdom. The role consists in supporting the delivery of the Design Package through its Lifecycle in accordance with the Framatome Limited processes, procedures and instructions. The Engineering Intern shall gain experience within the nuclear industry by being involved with the development of products through associated calculation, engineering reports, designs, engineering drawings, and tendering.
The Engineering Intern is seeking optimisation within the Engineering processes, procedures and instructions and is actively participating in Design Reviews as well as HSE activities in relation to the Design.
Profile
What will you be doing?
* To assist and perform Design Analysis in accordance with Framatome Limited processes, procedures and instructions.
* To propose solutions when Design Analysis is not conclusive.
* Modelling and design of new components and assemblies (3D)
* To check BOM and ensure appropriate Industry Standards are used.
* To input on projects from initial concept stage through to manufacture.
* To write Technical Queries and Concessions Requests, review and follow up.
* To contribute when required to Design Reviews.
* To proactively seek best approaches with regards to Health & Safety requirements.

* Engineering knowledge (MSc / MEng degree in progress)
* Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
* Engineering standards knowledge
