About the role
We are hiring an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Operations team based at CFC Dordon. You will undertake day-to-day reactive and planned engineering maintenance activities and improvement works at the CFC, working closely with Inbound, Outbound and other support teams to optimise availability and performance of the facility and its MHE automation. You will work the day shifts - 4 days per week to support continuous operations, with a competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
* Keep records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used, training, etc.
* Work closely with other departments to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment.
* Diagnose equipment breakdowns and action repairs where possible.
* Report and monitor data for automation and maintenance activities.
Key Skills & Experience
* Mechanical experience, preferably within an FMCG environment.
* A natural problem solver, experienced in working with controls and analysing faults to provide solutions.
* Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software, ideally with some experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance.
* Some working knowledge of automated warehouses and their technical components.
* Attention to detail; good problem-solving ability and a practical approach.
* Good communication skills with the ability to analyse and impart knowledge.
* Ability to respond to tote jams on the conveyor systems.
* Experience using computerised systems to complete jam reports and maintenance logs; basic computer literacy is essential.
