Operations Team Leader (NCAA)
Join Our Lifesaving Team. We are looking for an Operations Team Leader to manage the NCAA Crew Members across our London Oxford Airport and Retford Gamston Airport bases.
Job Overview
The Operations Team Leader will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the NCAA Crew Members to ensure effective tasking and compliance of The Childrens Air Ambulance. The role supports and supervises the team of Crew Members at both air bases to provide an outstanding service to patients and NHS Clinical Partner Teams. It also covers shift cover for Crew Members as part of the team’s resilience (estimated 40% of the role).
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day management of the NCAA Crew Members.
* Ensure effective tasking and compliance of the Childrens Air Ambulance.
* Support and supervise the team of Crew Members at both air bases.
* Work closely with the Operations Manager to drive improvements across the service for patients, clinicians and the NCAA team.
* Cover Crew Member shifts and provide resilience for annual leave.
Qualifications
* Qualified as Emergency Ambulance Crew, Emergency Care Assistant, or equivalent or higher.
* Leadership / Management qualification (or working towards).
* Full UK manual driving licence.
* Minimum 5+ years of experience working within healthcare.
* Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Experience in emergency care, retrieval services or intensive/critical care transfers.
