We’re working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a named child. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping a pupil thrive both academically and emotionally, supporting their learning while encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour. What you’ll be doing Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child during the school day Supporting learning activities and adapting tasks where needed Promoting positive behaviour and high expectations Helping the child engage fully in school life Working closely with teachers and the wider staff team What they’re looking for Experience working with children with ASD or in a 1:1 support role High expectations for achievement and behaviour A calm, motivating and encouraging approach The ability to inspire pupils and build positive relationships Flexibility, creativity and a genuine willingness to learn The school has a strong values-based ethos and is looking for someone who will support and uphold this in their day-to-day work with children.
