The Opportunity Due to increased expansion, our client, a leading nuclear consultant, are looking for an experienced CDM Manager / Lead to work on their world-renowned nuclear project based in Leiston. You will be responsible for leading CDM operations across a regulated project, ensuring maximum compliance. Remuneration & Benefits Competitive salary, expenses, generous holiday allowance, enhanced pension Your duties and responsibilities will be Plan and carry out assurance of compliance with the Construction, Design and Management (CDM Regulations 2015) across our project portfolio. You'll provide leadership and undertake assurance of CDM 2015 throughout the lifecycle of projects. Ideally you will have extensive experience in CDM, Design Risk Management and health and safety within complex, large-scale construction projects, particularly in regulated, infrastructure or similar markets. Liaise with the client, other CDM duty holders and other stakeholders as appropriate, to share any information relevant to the planning, management, monitoring and coordination of the work Liaise with the Client to ensure that they are aware of their duties under CDM2015, and support the client as needed Review and appraise, when required, risk assessments, method statements and related safety control documentation Ensure CDM/PD related competency checks have been carried out on the relevant project and supply chain stakeholders and ensure competency status is managed Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Technical Assurance Function Principal Designer Management & Oversight Manual Ensure ongoing adherence to the processes and provide guidance on interpretation where appropriateYou will have the following qualifications & experience NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent qualification. Chartered status (or working towards it) with a relevant professional body (e.g., CMIOSH, CMaPS). Experience in managing CDM and health & safety in complex, high-risk projects, preferably in regualted environments. In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 with the ability to deliver CDM assurance on large-scale projects. Good leadership and communication skills and an ability to influence at all levels. Collaborative approach working with multiple stakeholders, including designers, contractors and project management teams. Experience with CDM Assurance tools, Design Risk Management and safety reporting systems, specifically within a large-scale, regulated construction environment.It’s great if you also have the following Previous experience in the nuclear sectorThe setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
