The Company
Private equity-backed technology services business, experiencing rapid UK and US growth, seeks an experienced interim tax professional to define and deliver its tax strategy. This is a greenfield opportunity to build a robust tax framework in a fast-moving, international environment.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of all UK and international tax compliance while also setting the organisations long-term tax strategy. This includes streamlining processes, driving efficiencies in tax management, and developing initiatives that support a scalable, global tax framework aligned to the companys growth ambitions. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure compliance, manage risk, optimise tax efficiency, and integrate tax considerations into commercial decision-making.
Key Duties
* Lead UK and US tax compliance (corporate tax, VAT/GST, sales tax, employment taxes).
* Prepare and manage filings with external partners.
* Oversee US sales tax compliance and integration.
* Support statutory reporting, including deferred tax.
* Identify and deliver tax relief claims (R&D, patent box, capital allowances).
* Develop and embed a scalable, efficient global tax strategy.
* Maintain audit-ready controls and documentation.
About You
* Professionally qualified (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
* Proven interim or senior tax experience, ideally in a global environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT and US tax.
* Meticulous yet pragmatic, with a hands-on approach to delivering results.
* Commercially minded and comfortable operating in high-growth, PE-backed settings.
