Role
Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week — Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). This role is based at our head office in Woking.
Responsibilities
* Greet visitors and staff, creating a welcoming environment.
* Operate and maintain the switchboard, reception area and meeting room bookings.
* Handle post, couriers, office supplies and kitchen facilities.
* Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Assistant of the Senior Leadership Team and other head‑office staff.
* Manage inboxes and diaries, schedule meetings, distribute papers, take meeting notes and follow up on action items.
* Assist with ongoing projects, vehicle administration and other work streams.
* Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems.
* Process invoices and expenses accurately and on time.
* Act as an ambassador for Friends of the Elderly and contribute to the smooth running of the head office.
Qualifications
* At least two years of experience in a receptionist, secretarial or administration role working with senior managers.
* Education to A Level standard or equivalent.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Confident, friendly and welcoming demeanor.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Experience dealing with members of the public, professionals, suppliers, Board members and staff at all levels with tact and discretion.
* Positive, flexible and can‑do attitude.
