Overview
As an integral member of our procurement team, we are seeking a Procurement Coordinator to own the purchasing of ingredients and to support the purchasing of raw material and finished goods.
The Role
* Own the purchasing of Ingredients looking to negotiate and achieve savings.
* Liaise with outsourced suppliers to plan and place orders in line with the trading plan.
* Support the Procurement Managers with departmental admin as required.
* Organise samples for photography with outsourced suppliers and in house production teams.
* Build strong relationships with our key suppliers.
* Monitor inbound deliveries and highlight any discrepancies with suppliers and wider commercial team.
* Monitor purchase orders and quantity of product received and ensure internal and external stock counts are completed as required by the business.
* Resolve finance invoice queries in a timely manner.
* Provide product availability status when required.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience working in a procurement / supply chain environment.
* Background working in a food production environment (preferred).
* Ability to work accurately under pressure.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
* Excellent communications skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with suppliers and with a variety of internal stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* The ability to learn quickly.
* Strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
* Excellent numeracy skills.
* A strong critical thinker.
