We have a 12-month Fixed Term Contract available for a Category Buyer to join the Procurement team on a temporary basis. Working with a team, you will be responsible for providing procurement support and executing specific procurement activities to deliver cost reductions and maximize overall commercial value from third-party contracts.
You’ll lead low to medium spend and low to medium risk procurement projects while building expertise through producing spend reports and researching suppliers to support the procurement process. Additionally, you will support the Business Services and IT Procurement Teams with administrative tasks.
About the role
* Assist in the end-to-end tendering process, contract, and price negotiations with third-party suppliers.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the procurement process and effectively execute it, becoming a key resource for stakeholders.
* Act as procurement lead for low to medium spend and risk category projects and services.
* Provide high-quality service to stakeholders, building strong relationships within Royal London and with key SMEs such as Risk, Finance, and Legal.
* Create and present category spend reports to Procurement Managers to support their initiatives.
* Support Procurement Managers in designing, leading, and implementing sourcing arrangements for designated spend categories.
* Assist the Procurement Teams with maintaining workload management and reporting tools.
