We are recruiting an experienced HGV Auto Electrician to join a busy workshop for a well-established manufacturer in Grantham. Responsibilities:
7. Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on HGV rigids
8. Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults across vehicle systems
9. Work on lighting, braking, ABS/EBS and auxiliary equipment
10. Assemble, route and secure wiring looms, connectors, sockets and control modules
11. Use diagnostic tools to test systems, carry out inspections and confirm repairs
12. Assist with pre-delivery inspections, MOT preparation and refurbishment projects
13. Accurately complete all workshop paperwork and electronic job records
14. Ensure all work meets health, safety and quality standards
Requirements:
15. HGV licence and recognised auto-electrical qualifications are desirable
16. Demonstrable experience working as an HGV Auto Electrician
17. Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to fault-finding
18. Sound understanding of HGV electrical and ABS/EBS systems
19. Confident reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical information
20. Dependable, quality-driven and able to work both independently and within a team
